At least four Jahangirnagar University (JU) teachers were assaulted by some unruly students of Drama and Dramatics Department at 12.00 noon in the old Arts Buildings yesterday.
Sources said, a group of unruly Dramatics students led by Onjoli Islam Shimu started assaulting Ahmed Sunni, a Dramatics dept. teacher all on a sudden while he was taking tea in the teachers common room at 12.00 noon. On hearing the news, other teachers rushed to the spot to rescue their colleague from the attack. At a stage the agitated students then started assaulting other teachers. [Read more]
