Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) was the first to obtain the registration certificate from the Election Commission yesterday, a pre-requisite for contesting the upcoming general elections.
LDP, led by its chairman and former minister Oli who deserted BNP in 2006, had also collected the party registration form first and the Commission did not find much difficulty in scrutinizing the application with the registration rules under the amended People’s Representation Order (RPO) and issuing the certificate.
