The government yesterday extended the parole of Arafat Rahman Koko, younger son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s, by a month.
According to the home ministry, the parole of Koko has been extended till November 16 on health ground after his lawyer AM Mahbub Uddin Khokan prayed for it on Monday. Terms and conditions of the parole will remain the same.
Koko, who was released on two-month parole on July 17 on health grounds, is now undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bangkok.
Khaledza Zia, her elder son Tarique Rahman and younger son Koko were arrested on September 3, 2007. [Read more]
