The students of Drama and Dramatics Department of Jahangirnagar University yesterday declared Md Sanwar Hossain, head of the department, persona non grata on the campus, and barred his entry to the department.
The students made the announcement at a general meeting on Sunday midnight.
Some 10 to 12 students began ‘fast unto death’ on Saturday night protesting against the syndicate’s decision that cleared of Sanwar sex-scandal charges.
They also brought out a procession on the campus yesterday to press home their demands. [Read more]
