Bangladesh and India on Sunday agreed on “expeditious” exchange of criminals staying in either of the countries as both the home secretaries on Sunday ended their two-day annual talks on wide range of bilateral issues including cross- border security and terrorism.
“Both sides agreed that the verification process of released prisoners of one country held in the prisons of the other should be expedited and modalities in this regard will be worked out,” said a joint statement issued at a press conference joined by Bangladesh Home Secretary Abdul Karim and his Indian counterpart Madhukar Gupta.
