Adviser for Commerce and Education to the Caretaker Government Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman said that the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) would soon be revived with newer features so that the essential markets can not bump at the wish of the failure of the agencies engaged in market intervention and better protection of the consumers’ rights, the adviser claimed, had prompted the government to take up the TCB’s revival.
Though it came into being in the bad days of 1972, it was never given a favorable environment to grow up as a public entity of market overseer and remedy-maker. [Read more]
