Top business leaders of the country, especially from the export sector, yesterday urged the Government to ensure security of industrial units.
Expressing deep concern over recent incidents in the garment factories they said a vested quarter is inciting the workers for the damage of industrial units.
Sometimes workers damage the factories for wage increase, sometimes on issues like road accident. As a result their huge investment in mills and factories is under threat , they noted.
They also said the Government is pursuing a dual policy for investments in and outside to the Export Processing Zones (EPZs). [Read more]
