Bangladesh Sugar Dealer Businessmen Association yesterday demanded re-fixation of import duty on sugar, re-fixation of sugar price and stoppage of import of substandard Indian sugar to protect the local mills.
Addressing a press conference yesterday at Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium,

the leaders of the association said local mills would gradually face ruination if the duty on import of sugar was not increased and import of poisonous Indian sugar was not stopped. [Read more]
