The government yesterday removed the vice chancellors (VCs) of three public universities –Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU), Mymensingh, Noakhali Science and Technology University (NCTU), a Home Ministry handout said.
The government, meanwhile, appointed three professors of the respective universities as the VCs on a temporary basis, it said.
Prof Dr Abdul Latif of PSTU will be replaced by Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid, Prof Dr Mosharraf Hossain Miah of BAU by Prof Dr Ataul Haque and Prof Dr Abdul Khair of NCTU by Prof Dr Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary. [Read more]
