The teachers of Dhaka University will take classes today (Thursday) wearing black badges to press home their demand for lifting State of Emergency as it was main hindrance to holding the Teachers` Association election of the University.
Earlier, Dhaka University Teachers` Association (DUTA) took the decision when it failed to hold their scheduled election on March 12 due to court verdict as per the writ of a student of the university.
Sources said, the teachers are launching their protest through today’s programme and it would continue until normalcy was brought back in the country. [Read more]
