Awami League senior leaders yesterday demanded release of the party president Sheikh Hasina ahead of political dialogue with the government.
Addressing hunger strikers at Awami League central office, presidium members Amir Hossain Amu, Tofael Ahmed and Suranjit Sengupta demanded Hasina’s unconditional release.
They also demanded immediate holding of dialogue on election matters as planned by the caretaker government.
Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad, a front of pro-Awami League doctors, organized the token hunger strike seeking the release of Hasina and her treatment abroad. [Read more]
