Mohammad Shafiul Azam, Judge of Special Sessions Tribunal in the Dhaka yesterday recorded the depositions of a witness in the extortion case filed against former Communication Minister Barrister Najmul Huda and his wife Advocate Sigma Huda. The accused allegedly extorted a car from former MP GM Siraj of Bogra for the use of Sigma Huda’s published weekly the Khabarer Antarale.
Meanwhile, charge sheets were submitted to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka yesterday against former State Minister for Law Barrister Shahjahan Omar, his wife Mehzabin Farjana Omar and son Md Adnan Omar, and former Chairman of BRTC Taimur Alam Khandaker in corruption cases.
