Former US Ambassador to Bangladesh Howard B Schaffer arrived Dhaka yesterday on a two-day visit to Bangladesh.
Ambassador Schaffer arrived at the invitation of Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) to attend a talk on “Looking to 2009: Crucial Choices for the New American Administration” which will be organised by BEI at the BEI conference room at Gulshan in the city this afternoon.
Schaffer, now Deputy Director and Director of Studies at Institute for the Study of Diplomacy, School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, Washington DC, will be the keynote speaker at the talk. [Read more]
