Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University Professor Dr M Mahbubur Rahman has tendered his resignation in a letter from abroad, showing “personal grounds”.
An Education Ministry source said the resignation letter of Professor Mahbubur, now residing in Canada along with his family members, reached the ministry through fax at about 8:30 yesterday night, wherein the VC showed personal reasons for the decision.
Dr Mahbubur Rahman, Professor of Soil Science department of Dhaka University, was appointed Vice-chancellor of Khulna University in March 2005. [Read more]
