BNP leader Brig Gen (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, who was released on bail in an extortion case from Gazipur Chief Judicial Magistrate Court yesterday after 17 hours of his rearrest, admitted into an undisclosed clinic in the capital for treatment.
However, his family members did not disclose the name of the clinic.
When asked last evening, his son Shah Rezaul Hannan said, “My father fell sick on his way to the capital from Gazipur Court and he is receiving treatment at a clinic in the city.”
He would not divulge the name of the clinic as per doctors’ advice, he added.
