Awami League leader Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment for corruption by a court yesterday.
The sentence comprises 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for amassing wealth illegally and three years of simple imprisonment for concealing wealth information. The court also fined him Tk 5 crore, in default, he will have to suffer one year in jail.
