The hearing on an appeal against the High Court judgment declaring illegal the Anti-Corruption Commission notice asking detained former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to submit her statement of wealth was adjourned yesterday until March 9.
The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court passed the order after hearing for three consecutive days the appeal filed by both the ACC and the government.
On Nov 21, last year, a High Court division bench, upon a writ petition of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, declared illegal the ACC notice that had asked Hasina to submit her statement of wealth. [Read more]
