Assistant Commissioner of Police SM Mofazzal Haq and two constables arrested from the city in connection with a robbery case were sent to jail hajot when produced before the CMM court yesterday.
Police sub-inspector Abul Hossain investigating into the case said significant clues were available during interrogation of Mofazzal about involvement of complainant of the case Farook Ahmed Chowdhury in smuggling of artifacts.
Farooq, a dealer of iron scrap, filed the case with Kotwali thana on Monday accusing AC Mofazzal and constables Ehsanul Islam and Mohammad Abdur Rab of robbing at gunpoint Tk 1. [Read more]
