Detained former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had high blood pressure in her sub-jail on Monday morning and recovered after a while.
Inspector General (IG) (Prisons) Brigadier Gen Zakir Hossain said as Sheikh Hasina fell sick, the jail authorities called in the head of Medicine Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Dr Abul Kashem and the head of Cardiology Department Dr Lutfur Rahman for her checkup.
But, he said, Hasina refused to receive treatment from the doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. [Read more]
