The trial Court yesterday adjourned the hearing of detained former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in an extortion case when her lawyers applied for transfer of the Court after she expressed apprehension that she might not get justice.
The Court of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge M Azizul Haque allowed the defense side to move to the High Court for Court transfer and adjourned the trial of the case till February 11.
The Judge also told the defense lawyers to get a stay order from the High Court in the meantime. [Read more]
