Process to take back the ill-gotten wealth of 136 officials and employees of the state-owned Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd will begin soon.
The wealth will formally be taken back at the end of this week or early next week, said Lt Col Hasan, chief of the Taskforce Against Corruption in Titas Gas yesterday.
He said the money and property accumulated through corruption would be deposited to the state exchequer. The wealth was earned through corruption.
The corrupt officials and employees confessed to the members of the Taskforce that they accumulated huge wealth through corruption. [Read more]
