The Government yesterday reallocated portfolios of the Advisory Council and assigned three newly appointed special assistants to the chief adviser with charges of several ministries.
According to a Cabinet Division announcement, under the reallocation, Major General (retd) MA Matin was given the charge of Home Ministry in addition to his earlier allocated Shipping, Land and Liberation War Affairs portfolios while Adviser for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Anwarul Iqbal will now also discharge the responsibilities of the Textiles and Jute as well as Labour and Employment Ministries.
