Garment workers, police clash: 100 injured in Dhaka, Savar : Masterminds identified, stern action to follow

At least 100 garment workers were injured in clashes with police amid a fresh flare-up in the city’s Mirpur area yesterday following rumors about death of a fellow-worker in a factory.
Adviser for Labour and Employment Anwarul Iqbal yesterday said the government had succeeded to identify the masterminds behind the unrest of workers in the garment factories in the capital.
During a meeting with the BGMEA leaders at the conference room of the Ministry of Labour and Employment at Bangladesh Secretariat yesterday, the Adviser said stern actions would be taken against, what he said, those were involved in instigating workers to indulge in violence at the garment factories.
