Police recovered 12 bombs and eight power gels from a pond in the town yesterday.
Local people found the bombs and power gels while catching fish in the pond at Pakaiabandh in Akhrabad area in the heart of the town at noon.
On information, police went to the spot and recovered the bombs wrapped with tapes.
Police Super Md Mizanur Rahman visited the spot.
He told journalists that the bomb disposal experts of the Bangladesh Army and RAB were informed for examining the bombs and power gels.
