Workers of a knitting factory here Thursday stormed out of their workplaces demanding increased wages in the wake of unusual price hike of essentials.
Some 2,300 workers of Universe Knit Garments at Jamgara came out of their factory at about 8am and tried to take position on EPZ-Abdullahpur road, but failed due to obstruction by law enforcers.
They later staged a sit-in demonstration in front of their factory.
On information, officials of the local administration and police rushed to the spot. [Read more]
