ACC Chairman Lt. Gen (retd) Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury yesterday said people would judge what the commission had done over the last one year for curbing corruption to rid the nation from this age-old problem.
“I don’t want to be overwhelmed in getting satisfaction from what the ACC has done during this period. Rather I leave it to the people to evaluate what we have actually done in one year,” he told reporters at the commission’s monthly briefing here.
The ACC chairman said the commission had tried its best to combat corruption side by side with developing preventive measures against this vice through making a nationwide awareness drive. [Read more]
