Speakers at a discussion yesterday demanded of the government to form a tribunal under the war crime act of 1973 to try the war criminals.
They said the government should bring the war criminals under the trial. “If the war criminals were not punished, they will resort to further killings like 1971,” they added.
They were addressing a discussion meeting organised by Shaheed Dr Fazle Rabbee (SDFR) Foundation at the National Press Club in the city to mark his 36th death anniversary.
Prof Anisuzzaman of the Dhaka University as chief guest addressed the meeting, which was chaired by Prof Dr Abdul Mannan. [Read more]
