The rescue operation at the collapsed Rangs Bhaban in the city’s Bijoy Sarani continued for the second consecutive day yesterday. However, rescuers could not retrieve any more body yesterday.
The rescuers of Fire Service and Civil Defence are launching the rescue operation, taking serious risks as the building became vulnerable.
The operation was launched on Thursday, when the rescuers retrieve five decomposed bodies of trapped demolition workers from underneath the huge debris of concretes and rods inside different floors of the Rangs Bhaban, six days after the building caved in on Saturday night. [Read more]
