Awami League presidium member Tofail Ahmed, one of the corrupt suspects whose name appeared on the final list, on Wednesday submitted his wealth statement to the Anti-Corruption Commission claiming that he and his family members have wealth worth about Tk 1.25 crore.
Tofail’s lawyer Khandaker Moniruzzaman told UNB that he submitted the wealth statement on his client’s behalf to ACC secretary Mokhles-ur-Rahman.
He said Tofail has a house in Banani, 25 bihgas of ancestral land and a brick-kiln in Bhola. There is also a house in Bhola town in his daughter’s name. [Read more]
