The Supreme Court Monday suspended until January 2 the High Court order that stayed the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) notice asking former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to submit her statement of wealth.
A six-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice M Ruhul Amin passed the order upon an ACC application. The Appellate Division asked both the parties to get the matter heard in its court by the deadline.
On November 22, the High Court upon a writ petition filed by Hasina declared the ACC notice illegal. [Read more]
