Adviser for Law, Information and Land Barrister Mainul Hosein yesterday said no one is above the law and the government would not intervene in the legal system.
“Everyone is equal in the eye of law,” he said in reply to a question on the trial process of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina that started yesterday.
He was talking to journalists at his office in the Housing and Public Works Ministry here yesterday.
The Adviser said former prime minister Sheikh Hasina appeared before the court and she sought justice.
If the allegation against her is proved, then she will be convicted. [Read more]
