Saifur’s daughter in-law sent to jail in corruption case

Rezina Naser, wife of former finance minister M Saifur Rahman’s son Naser Rahman, was yesterday sent to jail custody after she surrendered to a court in a corruption case.
She came out of hideout and surrendered to the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s court with a petition for bail. Judge Azizul Huq rejected the petition and ordered to send her to the prison.
Her husband Naser Rahman, co-accused in the case, is already in custody.
The Anti-Corruption Commission filed the case with the city’s Gulshan Police Station on May 27 against the couple accusing them of amassing illegal wealth worth of more than Tk 6. [Read more]
