Amir of Jamaat e Islami Matiur Rahman Nizami urged the government to take up immediate rehabilitation measures, including rebuilding of the damaged houses and providing interest-free farm loans and free agri-inputs to the farmers of the cyclone affected areas to overcome the calamitous situation.
Nizami urged this yesterday while briefing newsmen at a press conference at the party central office in the city following his visit to some cyclone-affected areas recently.
The Jamaat Amir also urged to waive agri-loans to the farmers and provide the farmers and fishermen interest-free fresh loans to create their income sources. [Read more]
