Yet another embezzlement case against Nayeem Mehtab Chowdhury of misappropriation of Tk 7 crore has been unearthed by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) members yesterday.
Mehtab, Managing Director of World Communications Investment that operates World-Tel Bangladesh, is on a five-day remand in connection with misappropriating Tk 46 crore from two banks.
He was arrested on Monday by RAB-3 in connection with a case filed with Motijheel police on June 11 by World-Tel Bangladesh Chairman Amjad H Khan charging him of siphoning off Tk 46 crore by forging the signature of a bank-loan guarantor. [Read more]
