Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr AM Shamsul Huda yesterday said there would be no change in the scheduled general election by 2008.
“Works for preparing a flawless voters list with photograph would be completed as early as possible,” he said while exchanging views with the concerned persons involved with preparing voters’ list with photograph and issuing national identity card at the local Zia Hall.
Deputy Commissioner S M Firoj Alam presided over the function, participated , among others, by City Mayor Sheikh Toyebur Rahman, 88 Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Nazmul Hossain and Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Yunusur Rahman. [Read more]
