Dhaka University Syndicate decided to execute government’s urgent order for vacating all university dormitories by 8pm Wednesday.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting with acting DU Vice-chancellor Prof. AFM Yusuf Haider in the chair, shortly after the caretaker government ordered immediate closure of all universities and colleges in divisional cities in a bid to stem the tide of campus violence.
The syndicate meeting asked the halls’ authorities to take necessary steps to vacate the dorms by the deadline. [Read more]
