Md Nuruzzaman Judge, Special Tribunal 7 of Dhaka yesterday sentenced film star Dipjal and his wife Rumana Monwara to 7 years rigorous imprisonment (RI) each in an arms case, while another Court of Dhaka awarded death sentence to JMB Sura member Salauddin alias Saleheen in a murder case.
Judge pronounced the verdict in presence of Rumana while her husband, a ward commissioner of Dhaka City Corporation Monwar Hossain Dipjal has been absconding since the filing of the case. [Read more]
