Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) wants to ensure conviction of at least 150 most ‘corrupt suspects’ before next general election scheduled to be held in December 2008.
“It’s our target and we are confident that it’s possible if the conviction of the accused in the lower courts are upheld in the upper courts,” he told reporters on Monday.
The ACC secretary was responding to a number of queries of the newsmen about the skepticism of some lawyers about the ability of the ACC to ensure punishment of the ‘corruption suspects’. [Read more]
