The Government yesterday approved the manpower structure, creating four thousand and five hundred posts in the judiciary, with a view to completing the process of separation of Judiciary from the Executive branch of the state.
The approval was given at a meeting of the National Implementation Commitee on Administrative Reforms (NICAR) with Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed in the chair.
Briefing journalists after the meeting Adviser for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Information Barrister Mainul Hosein said with approval of the proposals all legal procedures to separate the judiciary, as part of the government step, were now completed; it would wait just for formalities.
