Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Salehuddin Ahmed has called upon the businesspeople to extend all-out support to bring down prices of essential items in the market
He found no reason for price hike of certain commodities as the government had cut duties, withdrawn LC margins and also set a maximum interest rate for the banks in import financing.
Dr Salehuddin was talking to reporters after delivering the Barrister Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Memorial Lecture at the Asiatic Society Auditorium in the city. [Read more]
