In the wake of widespread heavy to very heavy rainfall in different states of India, overall flood situation in Bangladesh may deteriorate again, said Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) yesterday.
Quoting the Indian Meteorological Department forecasts, the FFWC said yesterday that ongoing widespread rainfall with isolated heavy-to-very-heavy falls over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar and northeastern Indian states (which finally drains rainwater through Bangladesh) is likely to decrease from today onwards.
