The Government is going to introduce Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme in 12 flood-hit districts in the country from August 22 with a plan to expand it in additional 29 districts by next September, official sources here on Friday said.
So far, the government has distributed 14,365 metric tons of gracious rice to flood affected people while cash amount of Taka 4,18,51,000 were handed over to them in cash. Besides, Taka 41.50 lakh were given for rescue and relief operations.
