As the monsoon remains vigorously active over the Ganges basin, the Brahmaputra-Jamuna has continued rising and is likely to cross the danger level at Aricha in the next 24 hours and at Sirajganj in the next 48 hours, Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFCW) said this yesterday.
The Padma at Goalundo and Bhagyakul has started to rise again and is likely to continue in the next 72 hours. However, all other rivers are likely to fall in the next 48 hours. [Read more]
