Five people were killed and five others injured when a microbus, carrying a bridal party from capital Dhaka, plunged into a roadside ‘beel’ (water body) at Tebaria in the district town Friday afternoon.
Four of the deceased were identified as Lipi, 20, Dudu, 42, Wahid, 30, and Rabbi, 12. The identity of another could not be immediately known. All the deceased hailed from Mirpur in the capital. Police quoting local sources said the accident occurred on Natore-Rajshahi bypass road at about 2:45 pm as the driver of the Rajshahi-bound microbus lost control over the steering, killing five people on the spot
