Employees of Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) submited a memorandum to Geeti Ara Shafiya Chowdhury, Industries Adviser to the Caretaker Government, protesting a bid to reinstate Accountant Apurba Kanchan Das Gupta who was dismissed on charge of certificate fraud.
BSEC sources said that the Industry Ministry is going to reinstate him despite his dismissal from the service as he was found guilty.
BSEC employees’ union president Mostafizur Rahman and general secretary Abdul Hakim submited the memorandum recently saying that Accountant Apurba Kanchan Das Gupta had joined the BSEC in 1979 as a Chartered Accountant (CA) as he was not the holder of CA certificate at that time. [Read more]
