In an evil atempt to maximise profit in exchange of human life, unscrupulous traders and suppliers have created in market of the capital and flood affected areas of the country an artificial crisis of medicines, essential for treating waterborne diseases.
Knowledgeable sources, including government officials, opined that the crisis was created by big hoarders, some pharmaceutical companies and profiteers utilising the advantage of the increasing trend of spreading waterborne diseases, including diarrhoea, typhoid and pneumonia, with the receding of the flood waters from the affected areas.
