Recalling his glorious contribution to the creation of Bangladesh, the nation yesterday observed the 32nd death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with profound respect and gratitude.
On this day in 1975, Bangabandhu along with most of the members of his family was brutally assassinated at his residence at Dhanmondi in the city.
President Prof Dr Iajuddin Ahmed and Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed yesterday visited Tungipara in Gopalganj district and paid tributes to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman placing wreaths at his mazar in the morning amid tight security measures. [Read more]
