The Election Commission (EC) will send leters to the political parties within the current month inviting the in to participate in the discussion on the electoral reforms.
Chief Election Commissioner Dr ATM Shamsul Huda said this while briefing journalists at his office yesterday.
Asked whether which political parties would be invited for the proposed discussion he said the criteria of the parties are yet to be determined.
The CEC reiterated that the EC proposed to make National Identification Card (NIC) mandatory to receive services from 22 identified sectors. [Read more]
