Ten officials and employees, including the General Manager (Operation) of Ghorasal Fertilizer Factory Limited were suspended yesterday (Tuesday) for their alleged negligence of duty during a devastating fire broke out on August 12 night that guted the ammonia plant of the factory.
The suspended officials were GM (Operation) Abu Jamal Sarker, chief chemist Abdus Samad, chemist Matiur Rahman, deputy joint chemist Sukumar Pal, production assistant Zakir Hossain, high-skilled operators Jasimuddin and Zakir Hossain, and master operators Harun-ar-Rashid, Shafiqul Islam and Shafiul Islam.
