The main task of preparing digitised voter list with photographs will formally be launched in Rajshahi today (Tuesday) as per the newly promulgated law.
Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed is likely to inaugurate the nationwide voter-list programme at a function in Rajshahi city. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr ATM Shamsul Huda and Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed will also atend the inaugural function.
The voter list with photographs will be prepared in line with the Voters’ List Ordinance promulgated by the President on Thursday. [Read more]
